White tea is so delicate and is among the world's most expensive tea. White tea is handpicked only a few days of the year when the weather is just right.
Its light in flavour and colour and is such a pleasure to drink. Two leaves and a bud are carefully hand picked when the leaves are young and unfurled. Minimal processing ensures optimum health benefits.
White tea is harvested before the tea plant’s leaves open fully when the young buds are still covered with fine white hairs, hence the name “white” tea. Our white tea is allowed to air dry and or sun-dry in carefully controlled environments.
Turn your kettle off prior to boiling point. Steep at 70 degrees or below. Never ever pour boiling water over your white tea as it damages the cells inside the leaf and strips your tea of all health benefits. Water temperate should be the cooler the better.
